About The Show

This comedy series pilot presentation chronicles the journey of Carl and Larry; two 20-something African-American friends pursuing their dream of acting stardom. Fueled by their talent and determination, the struggling artists arrive in L.A. and quickly discover how difficult the journey up the Hollywood ladder is. Each episode follows the inventive and often peril-driven attempts Carl and Larry make to get their feet through the Hollywood door. Each obstacle life places along the way teaches them valuable lessons about themselves, their friendship, and ultimately what it will take to make their dreams happen.

Carl Sullivan : the optimistic spin-doctor and motivator who leaps before he looks and finds the silver lining in every questionable situation. His remarkable passion is both the attribute that allows him to showcase his talent at every forseeable outlet; as well as the flaw that jeopardizes his safety, employment status, and general well being of everyone around him. Carl sees opportunity where many see nothing. He sees doable where others see impossible. Armed with his ambition and his closest friend's best interests at heart; Carl often puts “we” before “me” when facing the many hurdles that pave the rocky road to Hollywood stardom.

Larry Crawford : The exceptionally talented pessimist who looks for a long time before he leaps and asks more questions on the way down. Unlike his best friend, he is analytical, sensible and feels most comfortable with both his feet placed firmly on the ground. The aforementioned are also all the reasons he does not have the vision, imagination and drive of his buddy Carl. He would hesitate to pick up a dollar bill on the street since he doesn't know where it’s been. The only character trait he carries more than his stubborn nature to overthink and instinctive reluctance to take a chance; is his die-hard loyalty to his family and friends. Artistically, his talent runs deeper than his Carl, but he has always needed someone to do the believing for him. Larry turns to his best friend for hope as Carl has always had more than enough to go around.
